Kokoda Spirit is Australia and PNG’s most respected and professional company, specialising in trekking Kokoda. We have been operating in PNG since 2004 and we have escorted over 8500 trekkers and more than 55 expeditions a year safely across Kokoda.
Our Australian office and administration operation is led by officer manager, Lyn Kelly and supported by Julie Elliott.
Our online store and merchandise specialist, Kate Schumacher, makes up our dedicated Australia team.
Our Australian team do all the behind the scenes work in organising logistics, paperwork and facilitating all the necessary requirements to ensure a safe and successful trek.
Lyn Kelly manages our daily operations, she has a wealth of experience in management, finance, administration and loves to be involved in our trekkers’ adventures. Lyn has travelled extensively and Lyn’s husband Bill is also one of our passionate Australian Guides.
Julie Elliott has trekked Kokoda four times, the Sandakan Death March in Borneo, climbed Mt Kinabalu as well as enjoying a number of other treks around the world. Julie had a long and successful career in the Queensland Police Service with her last posting as a Police Media Liaison Manager.

Noel Namuri, is our PNG Operations Manager and is ably assisted by Amy and Coleman.
Noel, Amy and Coleman ensure all our logistics and organisational plans run smoothly in PNG and on the track. They have warm and friendly personalities, great knowledge and passion for PNG and the Kokoda Trail and will ensure your stay in PNG is enjoyable.
Noel commenced his career with Kokoda Spirit in 2006 as a Porter and has advanced through as a Personal Porter, Cook, Trek Leader, Trek Master, Senior Trek Master to now being the PNG Operations Manager.
Amy has years of experience in administration and manages the office with enthusiasm. She is also dedicated to ensuring our trekkers are well looked after and she also oversees the welfare of our Guides and Porters.
