Break the trek down into small achievable sections.
Each day we walk from breakfast to morning tea, morning tea to lunch and then lunch to camp.
Kokoda is just a series of hills on top of each other…lots of hills on top of each other but very doable!
The pace is not fast and we have regular breaks.
If you need a break, stop and give yourself a 2-minute rest.
On the up hill sections, take small steps and walk at a pace that keeps your heart rate constant and not racing.
The pace is set by our PNG Trek Master and is based on years of knowledge of getting everyone to camp safely.
